Lisa said...: Wow. I love your snowman! So, when it snow's here in Erie, I am wanting to do nothing but cuddle up with hot chocolate, soak in the tub, and watch Christmas movies. We haven't ventured out in the snow yet for play time. You have inspired me!!

Out of the Mouths of Babes! (Really just Jackson)

"Only penguins do that!"
"Let's do it!"
J is great at giving directions even if it is on a "Stinky bridge or stinky highway"....You go right and then you go left and then you go around and around and then you go over the bridge, it's a stinky bridge and then you take a left and then another left...(This is how you get to Jessica's house in New York City!)
"It's snowing! I want to build a snowman. I'll get a carrot Mom." I want to go skiing. There are ski hills in Canada. Let's go to Canada mom!"
"Give me my space though, Mom"
"I want Daddy, (repeat several times), I want Mommy, (repeat several times), I want Ashley!"
When picking out a birthday card for Grandma Gayle, he says..."Dear Grandma, I love you!"
"I want a popcorn combo!"
"Cookie Monster is eating cookies, Lucky him!"
"Crocodile has a stuffy nose."
In reference to ravioli, "I want the cute one."
In reference to his "variety" of vegetables, "These vegetables are lovely."
After many instances of whining he says with a cheesy grin, "I'm smiling Mommy" "I'm happy."
"Cheezer grin!"
"I need my space Mommy."
"I want one that functions!"

Jackson's Birthday!

Jackson celebrated his 2nd Birthday all weekend long!!! Jackson started off with a nice pancake breakfast and Toys R Us shopping spree with his Auntie Jess. (I was still in the hospital with Grady and Casey had his Surgery test that morning). Later that evening we were to celebrate his birthday with Grandma Gayle but she got stuck in Cleveland and so the birthday boy made out with the whole weekend celebration! Saturday morning in spite of a major snow storm, we celebrated with Jack and Cole Baird. The party was a ball for everyone except poor J. who spiked a temp of 103.3! Thanks to everyone who came. Sunday brought a 2 yr old who felt better so we opened presents! In the end it all worked out great and so Happy Birthday Jackson!!!!

Jessica visits Erie!!!

A quick trip from Auntie Jess! January 18th Auntie Jess visits us before she is off on her adventure to Las Vegas. Highlights of her trip... Friday night she arrives at 1:30 a.m. Saturday she plays with Jackson. We lay low. In the afternoon, quick trip to the mall. Saturday night movies and ice-cream! Sunday a.m. church. Check out Jackson's new church clothes! Sunday afternoon Jess is off to face the blizzard on her drive back to Buffalo Airport. She brought the snow with her and left lots behind her. Luckily she made it safe and sound. It was a great visit! Love you Jess
